GRAPES: 100% Tempranillo.
VINEYARD: A single old, low yielding vineyard of 1,68 hectares, called Malpuesto due to its poor configuration. Planted in a cup around 1931.
SOIL: Sandy, very poor, superficial, with low water retention.
OROGRAPHY: On a NE-SW oriented slope, 520 meters above sea level.
CLIMATE: Atlantic with Mediterranean influence, average temperature of 12,30ºC and sunshine of 2 hours per year.
VITICULTURE: Criteria for integrated viticulture with traditional tillage techniques.
HARVEST: Manual in 15 kg box with bunch selection table.
DESTEMMING WITHOUT CRUSHING
ALCOHOLIC FERMENTATION: In open stainless steel tanks.
MALOLACTIC FERMENTATION: In new barrels with manual punching down.
AGEING: Aged for 15 months in new fine-grained French oak barrels from Darnajaou and Dargaud.
TASTING NOTES: Intense and bright cherry color. Aroma of ripe, black and wild fruits. It is structured and ample, with a creamy and earthy touch. Very fruity, with flesh. Persistent and complex finish.
FINISH: 14,5%.
PRODUCTION: 6.942 bottles of 75 cl. and 25 3 liter bottles.
