Bodegas Muga is a family business founded in 1932 by Isaac Muga and Aurora Caño. Its facilities are located in a bicentennial building in the emblematic Barrio de la Estación in Haro (La Rioja).
Since its beginnings, it has been characterized by the use of the best materials, combining the tradition that characterizes them - declared by the traditional method of fresh egg white and racking by gravity - with the most advanced winemaking techniques, with the firm objective to produce wines of the highest quality without sacrificing the authenticity that characterizes them.

Muga uses oak throughout the wine making and aging process. In fact, it is the only winery in Spain that has a master cooper and three coopers, who make the vats and barrels in the cellar cooperage.

In summary, Bodegas Muga has managed to combine the most absolute family tradition with a renewed vision for the future, which has allowed it to retain a well-defined character and personality of its own.
