In Capçanes, here in the southern part of Priorat, our lands and our people have a long history of winemaking, and how proud we are to embellish it nowadays. Celler Capçanes was founded by a few families here in 1933.

Market needs have changed and so have we. Later, we realized that the quantity and pooling of resources was not enough, so we decided to expand even further.

How far are you wondering?

Well, we managed to convince 80 different people from our village to invest in our cellar (theirs too) and started making a kosher wine, according to the Mevushal method, which broke some boundaries and was a huge success.

In fact, 5% of what we bottle each year is our kosher and the remaining 95% is a wide range of young, semi-crianza and premium wines. We love to put the best expression of the village we work in into each of these bottles, and to do that we have an amazing team behind it.

From the farmers who work the vines, to the cellar staff and the winemaker, Anna Rovira, they make the magic of our wines possible, not forgetting of course the dedication and passion we all put into what we do.
