La Nit de les Garnatxes SLATE (Llicorella)

Grape varieties: 100% red Garnatxa
Vines: 15 to 40 years. Altitude: 150-450 m.
Harvest: manual, mid-September.
Soil: Llicorella. We call Llicorella the slate floor. The rock, well embedded, undergoes the heat of the geological activity of the earth and the pressure due to the volume of material which covers it. The stone is heated and rolled, being in permanent contact with the roots.
Vinification: Controlled fermentation at (27-29ºC). Maceration: 21-35 days. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Gentle filtration.
Aging: brief aging in vats and barrels until bottling.
Tasting: Intense red cherry color. A truly complex wine, with mineral and balsamic aromas, more powerful and with more body and volume, it is our most mineral Garnacha!
Food pairings: It accepts all kinds of pairings, but given the unique characteristics provided by the licorella soil, we recommend opening this wine with red meats. Entrecôte, tuna tartare, cod and mushroom risotto are very good dishes to accompany this Garnacha.
