20 Aldeas was born in the fertile valley of the Duero River. A Tempranillo wine from 100% organic farming. Because it is only in this way that nature offers us its most primordial flavor, its most intimate essence.
VINEYARD AND PRODUCTION
DESCRIPTION: clean hillsides located in the municipality of Roa and La Horra, at 750 meters above sea level, with different orientations.
AREA: 15 hectares in total.
AGE: 30 years old on average.
SOIL: shallow, heterogeneous soils, with a predominance of clay and sand.
CLIMATE: The year began with a normal winter which gave way to a mild spring, with a few frosts in May without major consequences for the vines. The year was generally dry, especially during the vegetative cycle, which marked the development of the plants, as well as the size of the clusters and grapes. The temperature regime during the ripening period was very favorable, with this marked thermal amplitude which characterizes the region and allows the magnificent phenolic maturity of our Tempranillo grapes. The few rains in September helped to slow down the end of ripening, without however affecting the quality of the grapes. All these conditioning factors made it possible to obtain grapes which developed on the usual dates and of excellent quality.
VINIFICATION: Vinification is entirely traditional, with destemming and subsequent alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
AGEING: At least 12 months of rest in the cellar in different types of barrels (225 liters, 500 liters and 5 liters) with different percentages of American and French oak, and in bottle until placed on the market.
TASTING
APPEARANCE: Pure red wine. Cherry red color.
NOSE: Intense aroma of ripe black fruits, such as blackberry and plum. Subtle balsamic touches appear and integrate with the licorice typical of the Tempranillo grape variety, followed by roasted notes such as vanilla and smoky notes due to aging in American oak barrels.
MOUTH: A powerful wine with a fleshy entry on the palate, with a remarkable balance between tannins and acidity. The palate is full, with round tannins that fill the mouth with fruit and ends with a persistence of roasted coffee and licorice. Long and pleasant.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 12ºC-14ºC.
CONSUMPTION: Optimal upon purchase.
We recommend decanting it as it may contain sediment.
PAIRING: Ideal with grilled meats, carpaccio, roast lamb, vine chops, suckling pig and semi-ripe cheeses.
