En 1988, Familia Fernández Rivera built a French-inspired castle in her vineyards in Ribera del Duero. Roa offered the ideal location for the cultivation of vines and, in 1994, the first vintage of Condado de Haza was born.

The estate has nearly 164 hectares continuous excellent Tempranillo vines cultivated on the banks of the Douro river, a land of legends, next to poplars, willows and plantations. . It was not until 1994 that Condado de Haza became an autonomous estate where the entire winemaking process, from vine to bottle, takes place on the site.

From 2018, the cellar produces wine organic 100% natural. In order to improve the winemaking process and perfect its wines, a cellar was built by digging a tunnel in the hill 200 meters long and 30 meters deep under the vineyard. This is where the wine is aged and where the 3 new barrels and bottle cellar are located, which provide the perfect natural temperature and humidity conditions for wine making and storage.
