Grapes: Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec.
Harvest: Very cold winter with two days below -9ºc.
The summer was very hot, especially in June and July with three heat waves which marked the vintage with record temperatures. Spring was mild and frost-free. It is a climatologically perfect climate for vines in Ribera del Duero.
The harvest was early and began on September 28 with the Malbec and ended on October 23 with the Cabernet Sauvignon.
In the cellar the grapes are moved gently by gravity, without the use of pumps.
Aging: 12 months in 225 liter French oak barrels from different forests.
Bottling: Bottling in April 2021.
Aging: 12 months in 225l French oak barrels from different forests. At the end of the aging process, 46 different wines were obtained, depending on the origin of the grapes and the type of barrel. This wine is the final blend of all these wines.
Vinification: In the cellar, the grapes are moved by gravity, without pomp, gently. The grapes arrive de-stemmed and whole in the vat.
Visual phase: it has a cherry red color, with intense garnet edges.
Nose: The nose is complex, with aromas of ripe red fruits accompanied by balsamic notes and red liquorice. A more Atlantic profile with earthy and mineral notes.
Tasting phase: On the palate it has juicy acidity, good structure, excellent soft and ripe tannins, aromatic cedar wood and a slight bitterness on the finish that makes it long and complex, a wine that has life behind him.
Alcohol content: 15% vol.
Enjoy this wine at a temperature of 16ºC – 18ºC.
Production: 23500 0,75 liter bottles and 898 1,5 liter bottles.
