Description: Mandolás, made from the Furmint grape variety, has been evolving since its first vintage in 2000. A series of improvements have been made to all its processes, from the vineyard to its release on the market, where oenology more modern coexists in perfect harmony with an ancestral tradition. In the vineyard, we made a specific selection of plots with an appropriate planting density, taking great care of the maturity of the grapes, in order to obtain an optimal selection of golden, ripe and healthy bunches. The effort to select old Furmint clones (from the Petrács vineyard, more than 50 years old) also contributes to improving the quality of Mandolás in each vintage. The hand-selected clusters are lightly pressed and fermentation takes place in 20% new Hungarian oak barrels and 80% stainless steel tanks. Seventy percent of the wine is aged in Hungarian oak barrels for three months, with weekly stirring, and for a further three months in complete peace and quiet. Mandolás Furmint is a young and fruity wine, with a fresh nose and aroma, but full-bodied and with lively acidity. The 2021 vintage having been extremely cold, this Mandolás is characterized by its freshness and floral aromas. Thanks to its very present acidity, it has enormous aging potential.
