With our brand Torre Muga, the Prado Enea harvest is always the last to enter the cellar and is selected from plots located in the area of Villalba de Rioja, on the southern slope of the Montes Obarenes, a recognized quality terroir. The grapes are fermented in oak vats without temperature control or the addition of yeast. The maceration period is 16 days. Follow-up of at least 36 months in mainly French oak barrels. At the end of the aging period, the wine is lightly fined with fresh egg whites before being bottled and kept in our cellars for at least another 36 months to complete the aging process. This Gran Reserva Prado Enea presents a beautiful cherry red color, deep and dense.
The nose is immediately expressive and reveals seductive and complex aromas, both delicate and elegant. Subtle notes of creamy oak mingle with a wide range of red berries and black forest fruits, as well as hints of licorice and toast.
The entry in the mouth is soft, followed by a medium body with a silky, fleshy and round texture, balanced by a nice freshness. With its ripe, polished tannins and good acidity, this Gran Reserva can be enjoyed today but should age beautifully for several years.
This wine goes well with stews, meat dishes, fish and cheese; it can even be tasted alone, without accompaniment.
