There is nothing like discovering….
With this selection you will experience a journey through different wine regions of Spain and their rosé wines. This collection offers you the opportunity to discover, in addition to the famous Rioja, the booming region of Vi de la Tierra de Mallorca and Calatayud.
All regions are different and have their own character and charm. Look forward to the excellent quality of Spanish rosé wines.
Rosé is commonly mistakenly thought to be a blend of red wine and white wine, which gives it its pink color. A rosé or rosado, as it is called in Spain, is however a wine made from dark grapes. The intensity of the color then strongly depends on the variety of grapes chosen and even more on the way the wine is made in the cellar. Like red wine, rosé is produced by fermentation of the must. This is however shortened and the coloring skins of the red grapes are removed from the must after a certain time. The coloring of the wine is thus stopped. Another possibility of producing rosé is similar to the process of producing white wine. The grapes are pressed after harvest and fermented without the skin. Only a few dyes thus pass from the skins of the grapes into the must, which gives a very clear rosé.
Ideal tasting temperature: young and fresh rosés are ideally served at a temperature of 8 to 10°C. On the other hand, full-bodied and complex rosés should not be served below 10°C and ideally between 10 and 12°C.
We wish you a lot of fun discovering them.
