Moncebal 2019 is a site wine, made with grapes - mainly Mencía grapes, but also with 4% white grapes - from several vineyards totaling 1,51 hectares, located in the same area of the municipality of Corullón.
It ferments with whole bunches and native yeasts in oak vats for 46 days.
It is aged for 11 months in oak barrels and in tuns.
It is one of the least alcoholic wines, with Corullón, with 13,5% vol.
Extremely aromatic and floral, with hints of violet and also white flowers, in which we can even appreciate citrus notes.
This is the most eye-catching wine of 2019, with an excellent finish, textured, long and smooth.
It features shifting aromas and flavors, with a blend of flowers, herbs, berries, earth and even a hint of lactic at times.
It should acquire a more complex character in the bottle.
An excellent vintage from Moncebal, retaining the freshness and balance of 2018 in a warmer year.
Contrary to what we thought necessary in the new cellar, we use less and less new oak barrels.
Production: 3 bottles, 488 magnums and other large formats in 101.
