The origin: Joan and Josep Juvé Camps, the second generation of the family, have embarked on the path of excellence, in search of the best land and the best vineyards to incorporate into the estate. Today, thanks to them, the Domaine d'Espiells has an incomparable wine heritage, the characteristics of which are as follows. The oldest and most particular vineyards, formed by the goblet, constitute the raw material of this sparkling wine with a refined and classic look. Gran Juvé & Camps is the result of an exhaustive selection that our ancestors already carried out in the vineyards and of a vinification where the mastery of the assembly is essential, this work where the different melodies that each terroir sings unite to form a majestic and elegant symphony.
Anada: During the first months of 2017, and until spring, the vineyard remained hydrated thanks to the rains of the previous autumn. These water reserves allowed them to easily withstand the high temperatures of a long and dry summer. That year, the ripeness of the fruit was excellent, so exquisite that it was decided to produce a unique wine, the Gran Juvé & Camps.
The wine: Xarel-lo, Macabeu, Chardonnay and Parellada.
A harmonious quartet that is the work of a blend measured from the vineyard: only the plots of old vines of Espiells, Mediona and La Cuscona, which in an exceptional year show tremendous concentration and expressiveness with a ripe and fresh character at the same time, will be part of this singular blanc de blancs where harmony sets the tone. A game of precision and knowledge of the terroir and the fruits of the vintage to choose each wine gives birth to a structured and complex sparkling wine, which gains in nuances with an aging of more than 50 months.
Tasting: The attention to detail, the finesse of the assembly, the experience and the talent of our master blender are the key to a set of aromas and flavors constantly renewed, a roundness and a incredible finesse, with incredible roundness and finesse. A spherical and precise wine, where the fruit dances to the rhythm of bakery and brioche notes, very light touches of orange blossom and honey and a toasted nuance that completes the aromatic mosaic. On the palate, it is elegantly opulent, creamy, intense and harmonious, an effervescent caress that invites you to surrender to pleasure.
The match: Roast white veal from Galicia with cognac sauce; sole meunière, scallop tartare with a touch of vanilla.
