Grapes: Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec. Selected from vines located between 750 and 1010 m above sea level.
Harvest: Very cold winter, with two days below -9ºC. The summer was very hot, especially in June and July, with three heat waves that marked the vintage with historical records for maximum temperature. The spring was mild and frost-free. Dry winter, spring with sufficient rainfall for the vines, and very dry summer. It was a climatologically perfect year for the vines of Ribera del Duero. The early harvest began on September 28 with the Malbec and ended on October 23 with the Cabernet Sauvignon.
Aging: 12 months in 225 liter French oak barrels from different forests. At the end of the aging process, 56 different wines were obtained, depending on the origin of the grapes and the type of barrel. This wine is the final blend of all these products.
Serving Temperature: After travelling, wine should rest for at least 48 hours before serving. Store wine bottles in a cool place, at 14ºC – 16ºC, in a lying position, without sudden temperature changes and in the absence of odors. If you keep the wines at home and without a chamber, it is recommended to consume them within a year. Enjoy this wine at a temperature of 16ºC – 18ºC. Decant before serving.
Elaboration: In the cellar, the grapes are moved by gravity, without pomp, gently. The grapes arrive de-stemmed and whole in the vat.
Production: 217 bottles of 697 ml, 750 bottles of 5 ml, 390 bottles of 1 liters and 500 bottles of 73 liters were produced.
